The Rattan Wall Lamp – Metal and Wooven Plastic Rattan – Black

Texture does the heavy lifting here, and The Rattan Wall Lamp – Metal and Wooven Plastic Rattan – Black lets it. There’s a particular quality of light that only comes through a woven shade; not direct, not diffused, but dappled. The kind that spills through the gaps in the rattan weave and lands on the wall in a warm, irregular pattern that feels more like candlelight than electric illumination. It’s the sort of effect that turns a plain bedroom wall into something worth noticing.

The cylindrical drum shade is wrapped in tightly plaited plastic rattan. It is a material that faithfully captures the texture and warmth of natural cane while offering greater durability and resistance to humidity. The black trim along the top and bottom edges frames the weave cleanly, adding just enough definition to keep the look polished rather than purely rustic. When lit from within by a warm E27 bulb, the rattan glows from the inside out, projecting soft pools of amber light both upward onto the ceiling and outward into the room.

The shade is supported by a gently curved matte black metal arm extending from a circular wall mount. The contrast between the organic woven texture and the clean black metalwork gives the fixture a versatility that few natural-material sconces can claim; equally comfortable in a Boho bedroom, a coastal living room, a warm Japandi interior, or a relaxed hallway.

At 19x15x19cm, it’s generously sized for a wall sconce without feeling overwhelming. It is the ideal companion for either side of a bed, above a reading chair, or flanking a bathroom mirror. Pair with a warm white E27 bulb (sold separately) and let the rattan do what rattan does best.
