How to Choose
Settle three things, then pick the finish
Most tap problems come from a short spout on a tall basin or a deep sink. Get these right and the finish is the fun part.
How it mounts
A basin or counter with a tap hole takes a deck-mounted mixer. With no hole, use a wall-mounted spout with the valve in the wall.
Height and reach
Vessel basins sit above the counter and need a tall mixer of about 300 mm. Kitchen sinks want a high spout with enough reach for pots.
Water pressure
Many Kenyan homes run off a roof tank with low pressure. Single-lever mixers with a standard cartridge cope well; some high-flow designs need a pump.
