Before You Buy
Look at where your soil pipe leaves the room. Through the wall needs a P-trap toilet; straight into the floor needs an S-trap. Send us a photo if you are not sure.
Rimless bowls have no hidden rim for grime to build up under. A tornado flush swirls water around the whole bowl, so it cleans in a single flush.
Soft-close seats lower themselves quietly instead of slamming. Many lift off in seconds, so the hinges are easy to clean.
A bidet needs its own water supply and waste point, and a small basin mixer to go with it. Plan it with the toilet so the two line up.
Common Questions
At Light & Bath Studio, prices run close coupled toilets from KES 28,500; one-piece toilets from KES 29,500; floor-standing bidets from KES 15,900. The price depends on the type of WC, the flush and the seat. Every price is shown on the product, and delivery is quoted at checkout.
A close coupled toilet is a two-piece WC: the cistern bolts directly onto the back of the pan, with no pipe between them. It is the most common toilet in Kenyan homes because it is easy to carry in, fit and service.
A one-piece toilet has the pan and cistern moulded as a single water closet, so there is no joint to clean and the shape is smoother. A two-piece (close coupled) toilet comes as two parts joined on site, which makes it lighter to handle.
It depends on where your soil pipe is. If it leaves through the wall behind the toilet, you need a P-trap. If it goes straight down into the floor, you need an S-trap. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm which models fit.
A rimless toilet has no hollow rim under the edge of the bowl, where germs and limescale usually build up out of sight. The whole bowl can be wiped clean, which makes it more hygienic and easier to maintain.
Yes. A floor-standing bidet needs its own hot and cold water supply and waste point, and a small mixer tap fitted to it. Plan the plumbing together with the toilet so the pair sits side by side.
Yes. Orders within Nairobi go out by local courier, and we ship to every other county by G4S or Wells Fargo courier. Delivery is charged on every order and quoted at checkout.
Send us a photo of the bathroom and where the waste pipe sits. We will tell you which models fit and send a quote with delivery.
