Kitchens, Wardrobes & Shelves

Cabinet Lighting
in Kenya

Clean lines of light under kitchen cabinets, along wardrobe shelves and inside display units. Aluminium profiles that click onto 18 mm boards, with the strip, driver and sensor to match.

Where It Goes

Light where you actually look

Ceiling lights are behind you when you stand at a counter or open a wardrobe, so you work in your own shadow. A line of light inside the cabinetry puts it right where you need it.

Kitchen Cabinets

A line under the wall cabinets lights the worktop where you chop and cook, with no shadow from your head. Inside open shelves it makes glassware glow.

Wardrobes & Walk-Ins

Light along every shelf and rail so you can see what you are wearing, and tell navy from black, before you put it on.

Display & Glass Cabinets

Bars, crockery cabinets and glass-fronted units come alive at night when each shelf is lit from the front edge.

Shelving & TV Units

Wall units, bookshelves and media walls read as furniture instead of a dark block, and the glow is soft enough to watch TV by.

Which Profile

Made for 18 mm boards

Our cabinet profiles slide onto the front edge of a standard 18 mm MDF or block board shelf with a simple click. The strip sits inside, the frosted diffuser hides the dots, and from the room all you see is a thin line of light.

Under wall cabinets, or on boards of another thickness, a corner or surface profile does the same job.

FLUX CABINET-55 mm strips

FLUX CABINET-135 to 12 mm strips

Clicks onto the edge of an 18 mm MDF or block board shelf, no screws.

Our most versatile cabinet profile. Takes brighter, wider strips.

FLUX CORNER-12Up to 12 mm strips

Fixes into a 90° corner and aims the light at 45°.

Under wall cabinets toward the splashback, and inside wardrobe frames.

FLUX LINEAR-8 DeepUp to 8 mm strips

Screws or sticks flat onto any surface: timber, gypsum or masonry.

Under wall cabinets, and boards that are not 18 mm thick.

The Complete Kit

Four parts, one clean line

Every cabinet light is the same four parts. We supply all of them, matched to each other and cut to your lengths.

01

Profile

The aluminium channel and frosted diffuser. It hides the dots, keeps the strip cool and gives a clean trim.

02

LED Strip

Low-voltage 12 V or 24 V strip, cut to the length of each run. COB strips give the smoothest line.

03

Driver

The power supply that steps mains down to the strip voltage, sized to the total length with room to spare.

04

Control

How the light comes on: a sensor, a touch dimmer, a remote or your phone. See the options below.

Sensors and controllers

Choose how each run switches on. Mix them in one home: door sensors in the wardrobes, a hand-wave sensor under the kitchen cabinets, a remote for the display unit.

Door Sensor

Lights come on when the cabinet or wardrobe door opens and go off when it closes, like a fridge.

Hand-Wave Sensor

Wave a hand under the cabinet to switch on or off. Nothing to touch with wet or floury hands.

Motion Sensor

For walk-in wardrobes and pantries. The light follows you in and switches itself off after you leave.

Touch Dimmer

A small touch pad on the cabinet: tap for on and off, hold to dim down to a night glow.

Remote Control

Dim and switch display cabinets and TV units from the sofa, one zone or several.

Smart Controller

Wi-Fi or ZigBee control from the Tuya app or a voice assistant, with schedules and scenes.

How to Order

Three things to send us

  1. 1

    Measure each run

The length of every shelf, cabinet underside or rail you want lit, in centimetres.

  2. 2

    Note the boards

Tell us if the shelves are 18 mm MDF or block board. If not, we will use a surface or corner profile.

  3. 3

    Say how it switches on

Door, hand-wave or motion sensor, a dimmer, a remote or the app, and where the nearest socket is.

A photo of the kitchen or wardrobe helps. We send back the profiles cut to length, the strip, driver and controls, with one quote. Kitchen and wardrobe makers: ask about project pricing on 100 m or more.

Common questions

Will the cabinet profile fit my kitchen and wardrobe boards?

The FLUX CABINET-5 and CABINET-13 are made for 18 mm MDF and block board, the standard thickness for most kitchens and wardrobes in Kenya. They click onto the front edge of a shelf with no screws. For other thicknesses, or under a cabinet, use the CORNER-12 or the LINEAR-8 surface profile.

What do I need besides the profile?

An LED strip cut to length, a driver (power supply) to run it, and a way to switch it on: a door, hand-wave or motion sensor, a touch dimmer, a remote or a smart controller. Send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we will put the full kit together with one quote.

Which colour of light should I choose?

Warm white (3000K) for homes, where it feels soft against wood and stone. Neutral white (4000K) inside wardrobes and over worktops, where you want to see true colours of clothes and food. Tunable strips let you switch between the two.

Is it safe inside a wardrobe or kitchen cabinet?

Yes. The strip runs on low voltage (12 V or 24 V), and the aluminium profile draws away what little heat it makes. The driver sits in a ventilated spot, such as above the wardrobe or behind a plinth, and is the only part on mains power.

What length do the profiles come in?

Standard 3 m lengths, priced per length, cut to your measurements on request. Special project pricing is available for orders of 100 m or more, which suits developers and kitchen and wardrobe makers.

Do you deliver outside Nairobi?

Yes. Orders within Nairobi go out by local courier, and we ship to every other county by G4S or Wells Fargo courier. Delivery is charged on every order and quoted at checkout or on your quote.
